Legacy

A growing number of people are ensuring the Tricycle’s future by deciding to leave a Legacy Gift.

Leaving a legacy to the Tricycle (no matter how large or small), is incredibly important to us, and is a wonderful way of enabling us to continue what we do best:

• Producing new work and world classics to a new generation
• Promoting and celebrating work which represents the diverse culture of Brent and the surrounding community
• Producing work which challenges national and international injustice and inhumanity
• Presenting work for children, and providing participatory and training workshops for children and young people, particularly the disadvantaged.

As the Tricycle is a registered charity (no: 276892) no inheritance tax is payable on the amount of your gift, since charities are exempt from paying this tax. Therefore, after you have provided for your loved ones, it is worth bearing in mind that rather than paying tax to the Inland Revenue you can leave a tax-free gift to a charity whose work you support, and which has given you much enjoyment over the years.

There are three main ways to support the Tricycle in your Will:
A Residual Legacy, which is a share or percentage of your estate.
A Pecuniary Legacy, which is a fixed amount of money.
Specific gifts or bequests such as property and/or stocks and shares

If you already have a Will and you would like to include a gift to the Tricycle, you can make an addition, which is called a Codicil and is straightforward and inexpensive to arrange through a solicitor. If you do not have a Will you will need to seek professional advice from a solicitor or legal advisor.

Should you decide to remember the Tricycle in your Will, we would be very grateful if you could let us know, as this will enable us to thank you for your generosity and allow us to keep you, or someone close to you, informed and involved with the Tricycle. All information that you supply will be treated in the strictest confidence, and does not involve you in any binding commitment.

To discuss any aspect of leaving a Legacy Gift to the Tricycle please contact:

Another way to remember a loved one is to Name a Seat in their memory in the theatre auditorium. A named plaque on the seat will remain part of the Tricycle building for years to come. For details please contact the Development Director: development@tricycle.co.uk
