The inquest into the death of Jean Charles de Menezes

by Kieron Barry (edited from the court transcripts)

More gripping than anything else to be seen in the London theatre”
The Times

“They think it is him and he is very, very jumpy”

Following a sell-out run at the Landor Theatre, this acclaimed production transfers to the Tricycle Theatre.  Four years after the tragic shooting of the innocent Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes, Stockwell weaves together the diverse voices from the inquest’s many witnesses, charting the desperate acceleration towards one of the most controversial moments in the history of the Metropolitan Police.

Directed by Sophie Lifschutz.

SPECIAL EVENT:  On Wednesday 16 September there will be a post show Q&A with Michael Mansfield QC who represented the de Menezes family at the inquest into the death of Jean Charles de Menezes.

Feedback for “Stockwell”

  1. Janet Says:

I saw this at the Landor and am really pleased that it has transferred to The Tricycle, which seems like its natural home. It is an excellent show and it’s great that your production will allow many more people to see it.
