“**** A welcome corrective about the truths and lies of anti-Semitism and the shackles of memory and history”Financial Times

”****…teems with energy, ideas and sharp lines”The Times
“thought-provoking, ambitious… a vibrant revival” Mail on Sunday

“**** A welcome dose of the epic… a thoroughly entertaining piece of theatre” Metro
Peter Flannery’s epic fable spans forty years of post-war Britain and charts the rise and fall and rise of anti-hero Peter Singer, a Polish Jew. From destitute regugee, to corrupt landlord of a slum empire, to a high life in swinging 60s London, Singer meets success, disgrace, resurrection and redemption as he becomes a modern day saviour of the homeless.

A black comedy written in the Jacobean style, Singer is about the shifting sands of memory and forgetting, about revenge and forgiveness, and the way in which yesterday’s villains become tomorrow’s heroes.
