Special screening of ‘The Men Who Stare at Goats’ + Q&A with author Jon Ronson

The Tricycle Cinema are delighted to welcome Jon Ronson, author of the best-selling book ‘The Men Who Stare at Goats’, who will be answering questions about his first-hand experiences of an experimental US Army unit in Iraq, and how they inspired the hilarious adaptation starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor and Jeff Bridges.

Following the Q&A Jon Ronson will be signing copies of his book  ‘The Men Who Stare at Goats’  in the Tricycle foyer.

£11.00 or £9.00 for Cinema Club Members and Cinema Box Members

The Men Who Stare at Goats
    (15)

Inspired by a real life story you will hardly believe is true.  Reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) is in search of his next big story when he encounters Lyn Cassady (George Clooney) who claims to be part of ‘The New Earth Army’, an experimental US Army unit. According to Cassady, a legion of psychic warriors with unparalleled powers can read the enemy’s thoughts, pass through solid walls, and even kill a goat simply by staring at it. Now, the program’s founder, Bill Django (Jeff Bridges), has gone missing and Cassady’s mission is to find him. Intrigued by his new acquaintance’s far-fetched stories, Bob impulsively decides to accompany him on the search.
