Nelu works as a security guard in the local supermarket in Salonta, a small town on the Romanian-Hungarian border and a key crossing point for illegal immigrants to Hungary and the West. For Nelu, each day is the same. Fishing in the river at dawn, then work, and finally home with his wife.

One morning, Nelu “fishes” something different out of the river: a Turkish man trying to cross the border… The two men are unable to communicate with words, but Nelu provides the illegal emigrant with clothes, food, shelter and a far-fetched promise to help him accomplish his journey.

The screening of Morgen will be followed by a Q&A with the lead actor of Morgen, András Hatházi.
