Written and directed by Academy Award winner Jane Campion, the film explores the extraordinary romance and secret three year love affair between 23 year-old English poet, John Keats (Ben Whishaw), and the girl next door, Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish) in the years leading to Keat’s young untimely death at only 25.

Campion has created another resonant paean to love’s pain and joy, and gives new life to John Keats, too often now associated with dusty school books. Empire Magazine
