Access to the cinema is by lift from the main cinema foyer – please ask staff for assistance. Infra-red and induction loop hearing systems are installed in the Cinema. There is an induction loop fitted in the Theatre. Sign-interpreted performances in BSL are offered for some shows – please see show pages of this website where signed performances are marked when available. Guide Dogs may be brought into the theatre and cinema auditoriums – please ask for an aisle seat when booking. There are two wheelchair spaces in the Cinema accessed by a lift. There is space for two wheelchair users in the theatre stalls. Staff are happy to assist but each wheelchair user must be accompanied. As wheelchair spaces must be prepared, bookings must be made in advance. Please call the box office for further details. There is one wheelchair accessible toilet to the left of the theatre box office and a second in the basement, accessible by the lift from the main foyer. There is flat access to the women’s and men’s toilets from the main foyer. Reductions available for disabled customers plus an able bodied companion. These can be booked in advance.

There are two disabled parking spaces immediately outside the Buckley Road entrance. Parking regulations may change, so please check local signage.

INFRARED HEARING SYSTEM

The Tricycle Theatre operates a Synthesiser one-channel infrared hearing system.
The headsets are for anybody who would like the sound on the stage amplified and are available from the Box Office before the show for a returnable cash deposit (minimum £10) or an item of ID (e.g. a Drivers Licence).
Each headset comes with a “quick start” guide explaining how to use the headset.
The infrared system covers the Stalls and the Royal Circle – the box office can show you on a seating plan the  coverage area in greater detail. If at any time you are unsure about using the headsets or necklaces, please speak to an usher or member of the Box Office for instruction.

How it works
The system is infrared which means that the sound a patron should hear is transmitted wirelessly by an infrared signal (like your television remote control at home). The sensor on the headset then receives this signal. This sensor should point unobstructed towards the stage. The headsets should not be covered by any clothing, reading material etc as this will block the signal being received.

Infrared system in the cinema
The infrared system in the cinema works in Row E. Please book specifically for this row online or with the box office if you would like to use the infrared hearing system.
