The Tricycle Gallery accepts submissions throughout the year from artists and curators, with a particular focus on showcasing new and innovative visual art.

Gallery Submission Guidelines for Artists

The Tricycle Gallery is open to receive proposals from contemporary artists as part of its continuous programme of professional development and commitment to creative opportunities for artists and cultural producers.

How to prepare yourself:

1. Please send in a clear written proposal (no more than 400 words) explaining:
- What is your idea?
- What is its overall creative vision?
- What is your target audience?

2. Send us 5 -10 still images of works (JPG, TIFF), or two videos/screenshots of installation as digital files (AVI, Quicktime or PowerPoint), or two links to material shown on websites (html, Flash), or one other form of documentation of previous works, whatever you think best exposes your approach.

3. Gives us a brief statement regarding your artistic practice and creative background (no more than 200 words)

4. Please include links to reviews or catalogues if relevant to the proposal you are submitting.

The Curator will review proposals on an ongoing basis. There is no deadline for submission, but please allow 8 weeks for the review process. All applicants will be contacted with the outcome of their submission. Successful artists will be contacted with a request for further material and/or a discussion regarding their proposal.

The Tricycle invites applications from artists located throughout the UK. We particularly encourage applications from contemporary artists in the Brent area and practitioners of diverse backgrounds. The Tricycle also provides a limited budget for the transporting of work for artists and the Gallery takes only a 20% commission rate from any works sold during exhibitions.
